After scoring brilliantly in the fifth weekend, Prabhas-directed Kalki 2898 AD is holding up well after the fifth weekend at the worldwide box office.
Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD has followed the trend of showing huge increases on weekends and once again it managed to make an impressive total during the fifth weekend. In India, the film collected nearly Rs 10 crore nett from Friday to Sunday while overseas, it earned nearly Rs 1.5 crore in total. After such a weekend, the massive film managed to hold on to its 33rd day. Let’s find out how the collections stand at the global box office!
Nag Ashwin’s directorial took a significant hit last Friday due to the release of Deadpool & Wolverine and Raayan. The number of screenings has been massively reduced across the country, especially in the premium formats. Still, the film is managing to carve out a niche at the box office. Yes, the pace has dropped, but considering the film has completed over a month in theatres, the collections have been good.
As per estimates, on the 33rd day (fifth Monday), Kalki 2898 AD did business of Rs 1.20 crore nett in India. If we compare this to the 1.26 crore gross on the fifth Friday, it is a drop of just 4.76%, which is just magnificent. It means that there is still enough fuel left in the tank, at least in the domestic market. Including this estimated figure, the total domestic collections amounts to a huge figure. 639.11 crores net (all languages).
