[Music] hey there fellow Travelers Mark here with Walter world and today we’re in hona Spain outside of Barcelona and today want to give you a list of some of the best day trips that you can do from Barcelona because I know a lot of people make Barcelona their main destination of the vacation but there’s a lot of things you can do outside the city and I’m going to start here in hona this is probably the most popular day trip that you will see when you get off the airport in Barcelona or if you fly atona Airport but you’ll see all these bus tours that are come here and hon is gorgeous the uh elal the the Jewish Center that’s here the historic part the old District it is just fantastic with these little narrow streets you’re you’re walking through the Cobblestone everywhere it’s just gorgeous the cathedral the Basilica the bridges here yes it’s one of the bridges by you know gusta Eiffel you know Eiffel Tower guy yeah they have that and you’re walking around and there’s the Chuchos the little pastries they have here the little like shoe pastri stuffed with cream I mean it’s a really fun day trip for people to come and for you old game of thron fans when you walk around you’ll notice that it looks very much like Game of Thrones because they filmed a lot of it here so the second day trip that a lot of people want to go to is monserat in monserat you’re going up to the mountain and there’s a monastery you can go to when you’re there and getting there is the the beauty of getting there is probably the highlight and see the monaster is really cool but just the experience of going up there is very nice you can do that in a half day if you really want or a full day um but that’s another very popular one that a lot of hotels in Barcelona will actually offer and if you would to kind of explore get into other countries when you come here you actually have two other countries you can visit for possible day trips one you can go over to pepon in France and when you go there get castillet the small little castle there the the Palace of the the mayorca king that they have there you can go through uh you can go just enjoying the city in the food because what’s cool about pereon like you know Barcelona is Catalonia with the Spanish influence and and pereon is is Catalonia with a French influence so it definitely feels very different than if you’re in Catalonia and Spain but getting over there seeing the cathedral eating the food I mean if you take the tgv the fast train it’s about an hour and 20 minutes to get there okay if you’re taking the slower trains or if that’s like almost 4 hours if you’re going to take the bus it’s about 3 hours you can drive there um but yeah that makes a good day trip if you want to see a touch of frat frat you can do that in pepon if you want to go to one of the countries that not a lot of people go to in the world you also have Andor as a possible day trip now this is a whole day because there’s no train there’s no plane you have to bus it when you go there and it’s about a 3-hour bus ride to get to Andor and Andor is popular for you know shopping duty-free shopping is always good right cheap shopping is always good um it’s popular for skiing and spas and if you’re here in the summer they have great hiking because it’s up in the Pyrenees in the mountains so you get kind of like your Mountain visit and do some hikes when you’re there but if you do do your hiking there make sure you let people know just in case now if you want to go to an ancient civilization as well my next day trip I recommend is going to terragona and terona is famous because it has a lot of Roman ruins when you go there you can go to the amphitheater and check that out I mean that’s super cool you can see the full in provincial you can go to the you the Roman history museum that’s there there’s a lot of stuff to do when you’re there it’s actually a really beautiful city that’s one of the first day trips I ever took from Barcelona was to go there so it’s near and dear to my heart and also if you fly into reyos airport that’s right by there now some Travelers they come here they’re like Mark look culture is nice Roman history is nice other country is nice I’m in Spain I want to hit the beach yes you you can do day trips to the beaches you can go to the coast of bra if you want that’s an easy day trip to go do and spend your day on the coast of brav hitting the beaches there you can go to SASE which has its own Beach and some people go under the town but I’ll be honest with you you’re going there for the beaches so you can do that and and you know sometimes you don’t want to do culture you don’t want to do beaches what you want to do is just sit back relax and learn about Cava and wine and that is another day trip you can have when you do come here to Barcelona is actually going on Cava tours like is the sparkling wine from here in cazalon by Barcelona okay there’s lots of Tours that will take you out to The Vineyards there so you can do that I do recomment if you’re going to be doing that and you want to have English tours make sure you’re calling ahead to The Vineyards who want to visit so they have an English tour ready for you so you can have that okay but if you speak Spanish Catalan you’ll be fine there’ll be plenty tours going on but some of them only have tours in English at certain times so you might want to check in that’s why sometimes it’s better to just do like kind of a Vineyard or Winery tour uh with a group because then it’s already preset up for you so those are just some of the day trips you can go to when you are here I’ve gone to a lot I have a number of friends that live here I’ve gone a many times here and had many fun experiences at some of the beach towns but honestly you’re going to have a good time when you come to Barcelona and if you can do some of these day trips to kind of make your longer Barcelona trip even better I highly recommend doing it and a lot of these you can just spend the night there as well to get more of an experience because a lot of the day trips around Barcelona honestly they get packed during the day especially on the weekend from the people coming from Barcelona but during the week it’s a lot less empty and the evenings it’s almost completely empty okay at least from the major tour swords so I hope you have a
