i’m too busy and i’m going to show you what 10 dollars can get you in khartoum sudan [Music] what’s up everyone welcome to sudan in khartoum we’re crossing the nile right now on a boat what’s up homie what’s up i’m so beyond happy to be here in sudan it’s a country that’s been high on my list to visit for a while and so far it has not disappointed yesterday we visited the ancient pyramids of marway and today we are exploring the bustling capital of khartoum since there are no atms here which accept foreign cards yeah okay no problem i have to exchange my dollars the old-fashioned way on the black market 10 is about 700 sudanese pounds it’s time to see how much we can get i’m getting tea right now and it’s so cheap for one that i’m getting it for all four of us and it’s still under one dollar it’s more like 60 cents for forties yeah we’re sitting over there it’s always t o’clock in sudan where friends come together to chat and sip on tea and it always hits the spot amazing how’s the tea it’s beautiful it’s delicious man we have just rolled up to the market here in cartoon because i want to buy a flag for my collection so hopefully i’m not going to get ripped off mazen am i going to get ripped off no no people here are very friendly and it will give you a nice are you sure yeah i had no luck in the first two stores and then i found exactly what i was looking for all right third time’s a charm we’re gonna get a flag in this one i’m feeling it this is 50. 50 for this one it is hot so we’re driving from place to place and it’s like 43 degrees celsius 110 fahrenheit and it just makes shooting a lot more difficult dude look at that sweat on your face did you see those droplets just look at mine look at that [ __ ] look at that damn dude look at my expressions man all right so we’re hungry it’s lunch time and to get to the restaurant we’re going to take a tuk tuk a rickshaw which is a popular way to get around from india to thailand to egypt the three-wheeled auto rickshaw is the cheapest way to get around town and i love it best way to cruise around sedan thank you bro we rolled up to the restaurant and it’s about as local as they come i just asked my friends to order me whatever the good stuff is and i’ll eat it a quick wash of the hands and i’m ready to try new foods we just sat down for lunch here in sudan and all the food it looks like pancakes it looks like different varieties of pancakes different variations this is really thin uh really thin pancake this is very traditional this is like weekly in the houses and people sometimes go and eat around i’m just kind of like awesome my hands are freaking messy man honestly speaking it was good but not the best thing i’ve ever had the texture kind of kind of throws it off for me it looks like snot gotta wash down the food with some tasty beverages right we’re getting a fresh juice considering i saw many dudes selling oranges on the side of the road i figured it was the way to go [Music] this is grapefruit orange juice oh man that’s refreshing as hell finally we end a great day at a shisha place because it’s the thing to do here since there are no bars this place is a super chill environment playing all my favorite hits from high school [Music] good stuff man i got 220 pounds left over so it’s time to go make some people’s day [Music] in total i got four teas one rickshaw ride one flag one goraza meal for four fresh orange juice one shisha and i made someone’s day for 9.68 and that is what 10 can get you in the amazing country of sudan see you guys tomorrow right drew you will drew yeah okay my name is jackson antony nice to meet you bro okay you have two names jackson and tony excellent tony yeah okay jackson anthony worried about my hair worried about my hair but nobody cares about me [Applause] cares about me everybody want to change my look everybody want to change my look they’re all playing it by the book they don’t know me they don’t know me i’m drewbinski and if you like my travel videos please click subscribe and join me as i plan to visit every country in the world
