Tishaa Kumar was born on 6 September 2003 to Krishan Kumar and Tanya Singh. She was the niece of renowned composer Gulshan Kumarthe late founder of T-Series. Tishaa’s life was marked by her family’s legacy in the entertainment industry, though she maintained a relatively private profile. Despite her family’s prominence, she was known for her humility and grace.
Reports indicate that Tishaa had been struggling cancer For several years, she had recently travelled to Germany for treatment, where she eventually succumbed to her illness. A T-Series spokesperson confirmed her demise and said, “Tishaa Kumar, daughter of Krishan Kumar, passed away yesterday after a prolonged battle with illness. This is a difficult time for the family and we request that the family’s privacy be respected.”
The funeral, originally scheduled for July 21, was postponed due to inclement weather in Mumbai, which caused major disruption. The family sent an emotional statement to friends and relatives, expressing their grief and the logistical challenges they faced.
In their statement, the family said: “Dear friends and family, it is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing away of our beloved Tishaa Kumar, beloved daughter of Krishan Kumar and Tanya Kumar, on 18th July 2024. Your presence and support during this difficult time will be deeply appreciated.”
Although Tishaa was part of a well-known family, she preferred to stay away from the limelight. Her last public appearance was in November 2023 at the premiere of the film Animal, which she attended with her father. Despite her limited public presence, Tishaa often appeared at T-Series film screenings, reflecting her connection to the family business.
