Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD ended its fourth weekend with a huge box office success worldwide. Here’s how it stands!
The Prabhas-directed film Kalki 2898 AD bounced back strongly in the fourth weekend and managed to deliver a stunning performance. On the fourth Sunday, it managed to cross the Rs 10 crore mark at the worldwide box office, which speaks volumes about the longevity of the magnum opus. In the latest development, the global figure has already crossed Rs 10 crore and is aiming to collect much more. Read on to know more!
The film is now making its highest ever collection with the Hindi release. Last week, with Akshay Kumar’s Sarfira and Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 hitting the theatres, the big film was expected to feel the impact but the resounding rejection of the aforementioned films gave extra space to the Prabhas starrer. Yes, the success of Bad Newz during the opening weekend did affect the collection but it was nothing to worry about as the big film raked in over Rs 20 crore globally in the fourth weekend.
Yesterday, Kalki 2898 AD again saw impressive growth, collecting Rs 8.25 crore nett, up from Rs 6 crore nett on Saturday. Including this, the total collection at the Indian box office stood at 621.95 crore rupees net (all languages) after 25 days. Including taxes, gross domestic income amounts to 733.90 crore rupees.
In the overseas market, Kalki 2898 AD added another 1 crore, taking its overall tally to 278.20 crores Combining Indian and foreign collections, the worldwide box office collection stands at a staggering figure. 1012.10 crore rupees rough.
From here, the film aims to hit the Rs 1,050 crore mark of worldwide collections and considering the massive growth pattern during weekends, it might achieve this target.
