Abhishek Bachchan spoke about Jaya and Shweta Bachchan but did not react when they called his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan ‘the other woman’.
The Bachchan family is currently the centre of attention in town following their disappearance from the Ambani wedding festivities, arriving at the main event in separate groups with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan accompanied by her daughter Aradhya, while Abhishek Bachchan accompanied the rest of the family.
Rumours about things going terribly wrong between the Bachchan women have been a part of the gossip mill for a long time. The main reason is a tiff of sorts between Aish and Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Bachchan, who is supported by her mother Jaya Bachchan.
However, the men have been bearing the brunt of the entire feud, and Abhishek Bachchan, in one of his interviews, spoke about being available to all three women in his life after marrying Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
In an episode of Koffee with Karan, where Abhi – Aish graced Karan Johar’s couch, the host asked the Manmarziyaan actor, “Do you feel, Abhishek, that at any point of time you have felt torn between the three women in your life? Because you know, you have the apple of Jaya Aunty’s eye and Shweta’s life, and now you have another woman in your life. Do you ever feel the need to juggle all of these?”
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan immediately took a sarcastic dig at Karan Johar for exposing her position in Abhishek Bachchan’s life in such a flippant manner. The Devdas actress said, “The only time they will call the wife the other woman.”
Responding to how he feels between Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the actor replied, “Yes, I think the credit should go to the girls. I have very little to do with it. What also works is that Maa and she (Aishwarya) are very close. They talk about everything. When a woman first comes to her husband’s house, she feels a little out of place, obviously and obviously. I think the only person who can really fill that void is her mother-in-law.”
For those unaware, Abhishek and Aishwarya have been fuelling separation rumours for quite some time now and recently, the actor liking a divorce post on Instagram added fuel to the fire.
