Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD turned out to be a huge hit at the worldwide box office in its Hindi dubbed version.
The Prabhas-directed film Kalki 2898 AD has comfortably entered the 1000-crore club at the worldwide box office and still has a lot of fuel left in it. For the past four weeks, the magnum opus has been showing a pattern of showing a consistent trend during weekdays and a massive spike during weekends. Now, even during this ongoing fifth weekend, a similar trend is being observed as the film showed phenomenal growth yesterday. Read on to know more!
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the dystopian epic saga was released in theatres on June 27. It received positive reviews from critics and even the audience gave it a thumbs up. As a result, the film stood strong after a phenomenal start. A few days ago, it even crossed the Rs 1000 crore milestone and emerged as the seventh highest-grossing Indian film globally.
Apart from the original Telugu version, Kalki 2898 AD enjoyed a phenomenal run with its Hindi version. In India, only the Hindi version is aiming to enter the 300 crore club. Yesterday, it witnessed a whopping 163.15% jump as the collections jumped from 76 lakh (5th Friday) to 2 crore (5th Saturday), taking the estimated collections to 284.05 crores net (31 days). Including taxes, gross domestic revenue stands at 335.17 crore rupees.
In the overseas market too, Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi) has done well, with an estimated collection of 65 crores If we add this to the Indian box office takings, the total worldwide box office sum amounts to a huge sum. 400.17 crore rupees rough.
With such a high collection, Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi) has become the first Hindi film to gross Rs 400 crore by 2024. As the film still has some fuel left, it will be interesting to see how far the collections go.
