New Delhi: Guess who is all set to join Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Raj and DK. Rakht Brahmand? None other than actor Ali Fazal, news agency IANS reported. The 6-part mini-series also features Aditya Roy Kapoor and Wamiqa Gabbi in important roles. The shooting of the project will commence in Mumbai from next week. A source close to the project revealed, “The project is a wonderful vision of Raj & DK, it is definitely a step forward in their fantasy drama genre. Finally, the cast has been decided and the shooting will begin next week. Ali will shoot for the series till August while completing small schedules of his other projects. The show may appeal to him and the vision of the show was enough to get Ali excited to be a part of the series. It is a really interesting role, something he has never done before, both from a character and genre perspective.”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu previously worked with Raj and DK in The Family Man – Season 2co-starring Manoj Bajpayee. The actress also worked with the duo in Citadel: Honey Bunnyco-starring Varun Dhawan. It is an action-packed spy thriller with the heartwarming charm of a love story, set in the vibrant tapestry of the 90s.

In terms of work, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was last seen in the film WHOco-starring Vijay Deverakonda. He will also star in a project titled BangaramSamantha announced the project on her birthday this year.
